FEDERAL PRIVACY BOOT CAMP

A training series that will provide Federal employees new to working in privacy with the knowledge needed to get started effectively in the privacy program. The program dates are:

      • October 13 – Introduction: What is Privacy?

      • October 20 – Privacy Laws, Policy, and PII: An Overview.

        Location:U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

      • October 27 – The E-Government Act and Privacy Assessments

      • November 3 – The Privacy Act

        Location: U.S. Department of Commerce, Herbert C. Hoover Building, Rooms 52013 and 52015

      • November 17 – Data Breach and Contracts

      • December 1 – Websites, Mobile Apps, and Social Media; Transparency; and Redress

      • December 8 – Information Security 101 for Privacy Pros

        Location: U.S. Department of Commerce, Herbert C. Hoover Building, Room 1894 (Law Library)

      • December 15 – Other Laws, Policies, and Issues
